The cross of St. John's
I'm probably the last person in the righty blogosphere to link to Michael Yon's picture of the erection of the cross on St. John's church in Baghdad. The photograph and the email accompanying it are -- to me, at least -- incredibly moving. If it had been taken by a wire service photographer it would be on the cover of newspapers all over the country.

The photo might bolster Islamist claims that a new Crusade is engulfing them. I suspect most Iraqi's won't buy it, but plenty of angry young men in Saudi Arabia Egypt, et al. will.
