The nickname for Iowa's Hawkeye logo. Posts include thoughts of the day on international affairs, politics, things that strike us as hilarious and personal observations. Not so dramatic as this - we always think it more tragic when the person is smart or attractive - but I know lots of these stories. They aren't odd at all. This is what mental illness is. Working with such folks after the fall is how I earn my daily bread.
The gradual unraveling, until the symptoms become too great and cannot be contained by the coping methods, fit a moderately common age pattern.
