Money politics watch

For all the talk in the chattering classes about Mitt Romney's heavy campaign spending, Barack Obama actually has been outspending the Republican field:

Obama has spent more than $135 million - more than GOP challengers Romney and Rick Santorum combined - on his re-election apparatus, according to an Associated Press analysis of Federal Election Commission records.
Let us not have any more tedious bleating from the left about the corrupting power of money in politics.

Let's also not hear any more about how Obama isn't campaigning that much....

And that's just his vacation spending...

Interesting timing of your post. This afternoon the Che lovers on the local Socialist Radio program were bleating that the Koch brothers and their SuperPacs were buying the election for the greedy capitalists.

Hey Red Radio People, we have the internet now! You can fact check your ass!

Because all leftists are hypocrites. One standard for us and no standards for them. They do what they want to do with no loyalty to consistency. Here the End justifies the means. The Left never says "Know Thyself"; there is no introspection on the Left.

No, let's have a lot more complaints from the left about the corrupting power of money in politics. I'd love to have a system where neither party needed to do this. That both parties are playing by terrible rules doesn't undercut anybody's view that different rules would be better.
