My most awesome Scrabble play evah!
So, last night I was playing cocktail hour Scrabble with the THGF, who almost always beats me senseless. Lady luck and a solid red Zin, however, conspired to deliver unto me the greatest Scrabble hand I have ever had the privilege to play, a solid 83 points (including the seven-letter bonus) for the word "risible."
I rock. Less self-congratulatory blogging will resume shortly.

Glad to see it was accomplished without a blankety-blank blank. I hate blanks.

I think his point is that we all win, since we get to bear witness to the Area of Brilliance.

I could use a new Words With Friends opponent, TH. Do you play?

Sorry, didn't mean to be anonymous above. Paul.

No, I've never heard of Words with Friends. Is that online Scrabble, or something like it?
Iggy, agreed.

Words with Friends is a free ap for tablets, cells, Android or Mac. Very similar to Scrabble, but with enough small changes to avoid copyright infringement.

The word above your "risible" seems to be "jeep".
House rules, allowing proper names?
Other than that, excellent play.

Good spot, Taq. No proper names, but we do allow legitimate and widely understood slang. "Jeep" was universal Army slang for "general purpose" vehicle before Chrysler turned it in to a brand. At least that is my position.

I had the same thought when I saw "jeep," but the official Scrabble dictionary accepts it.

TH-
Yeah, who won?
BTW, best part of the post was "THGF".

"Jeep" also is slang for 2d lieutenant--or was long ago....
