Palin v. Gore: The public approval cage match
If you're Al Gore, this has gotta hurt.

I've been hyping "Palin v Gore" here for awhile. If she hits Gore on AGW, it's a good way for her to prove her chops as it ultimately plays to her strength on Energy. It's also an indirect way to expose her MSM critics.
I've gotten more excited lately about Palin in 2012. She has strong anti-DC street cred. She brings heat, and in 2012 we may need it. A generic boring whitebread Republican governor may not cut it.
Meanwhile Obama just said the following:
"In the long run we can't continue to spend as if deficits don't have consequences, as if waste doesn't matter, as if the hard earned tax dollars of the American people can be treated like monopoly money, that's what we've seen time and time again, Washington has become more concerned about the next election than the next generation."
In the long run we're all dead. Obama has said some amazing things, but this may top my list.

Cage match? I'll show you a cage match!
Thank you for your playing the O'Quiz!

(warning there is a typo in question 9)
As to Palin v. Gore, I agree she should make his life miserable. If nothing else, it'll give me some personal satisfaction if she pulls it off.

Sorry, but I can't help but hoping that our country deserves better than Palin vs. Gore.

Obama (via Mad as Hell's comment): "Washington has become more concerned about the next election than the next generation."
So what else is new, President Obama?
My mother's father was state treasurer and auditor general in Pennsylvania during the 1940s. He was a Democrat.
"The Chinese think about the next generation; American politicians think about the next election," he told me when I was in elementary school during the 1950s.
Damn, I hate watching the on-the-job training of American Presidents.

Palin V Gore. Only people on drugs or neocons would believe that pig swill.
A right wing article from a right wing journal, go figure.

Well DEC, we saw it with Bush and we all suffered for it.

Victoria: "we saw it with Bush..."
And Clinton (Remember his first two years?) and Carter (everything was a mess) and Kennedy (Bay of Pigs), to name three more.
If I have to live under "political class overlords" I'd prefer Chinese mandarins to the ones we've got. The Chinese are smart and mostly committed to the common good.

In "The Coldest Winter", a history of the Korean War, I learned the following revelatory story about the quality of Chinese leadership:
The Chinese had spies on the docks in Japan and kept careful inventory of the kind of material that was passing through. From this they concluded that MacArthur was planning a big amphibious operation. They got inside MacArthur's head -- studying his prior battles, his grandiosity, etc, etc -- to conclude that MacArthur would attempt the unthinkable -- an amphibious landing behind the North Korean lines led by the Marines. They even picked Inchon as the spot of landing, despite the challenges of an amphibious landing there. They told Kim Jong I all this but were ignored. Many consider Inchon one of the most daring -- and successful -- operations in modern warfare.
So if the Chinese Communist mandarins of the 1950s could get inside MacArthur's head this way, I wonder what 3rd generation Chinese Communist mandarins see when they get inside Obama's head.
To Victoria:
I'm not on drugs -- not at the moment -- and I'm not a neocon. I'm not even a con. I'm a little "l" libertarian.
Right now, Palin has the biggest hard core base of anyone in US politics other than Obama. No one is close, Romney included. For her to succeed in 2012 she needs to win over some key demographics where she has high negatives. She's capable of this, but it's not certain that she can. Obama got elected in 2008 as the anti-Bush. As we near 2012, Palin may be the best anti-Obama.
Gore is a great target right now. ManBearPig should be taken out. Palin is just the gal to do this, and to field dress him.
When I look at Bush, Gore, Kerry, Edwards, and Obama -- I see guys without genuine accomplishment or real smarts ... except for having real talent at being "players" at the inside game of DC-based, MSM-enabled politics. That's exactly what we need to purge ourselves of.
