At least we can all agree with President Obama with respect to his characterization of Mr. West. One would think that President Obama, as the leader of the Democratic party, might be an expert on donkeys, mules and the like.

Again I disagree with Obama. He thought West was a jackass...I thought he was an asshole.
I sure diplomacy can resolve this.
Perhap you are right, JPMcT.
Personally, I didn't need the President to weigh in on this matter to know that West was a jerk. West lost all credibility when he ripped into the President after Katrina. His most recent tirade just reaffirms that I was correct in my earlier judgement.
What is the phrase, oh yes, "Shut up and sing," although in his case perhaps it should just be "Shut up"
Obama will do anything to have a reportable moment. It plays to Obama's narcissism ... but it's also a deliberate strategy to hog the media. It distracts MSM from getting traction on real coverage. It's JPMCT's squeaky toy analogy.
A lot of Obama-Axelrod stories get seeded on the weekend on the Sunday morning talk shows. It tells Maureen Dowd and others what to write about. They even plant an occassional seemingly critical story. You can see Axelrod is behind it when the source of the story is someone in the Administration or a fellow traveler. There's almost something every week. E.g., waterboarding is a card that's been played several times, even when there's been no significant development ... "Holder may investigate" ... "Holder is investigating."
What Obama-Axelrod and MSM are missing is that a huge part of America are by-passing MSM and figuring out stuff on their own. They're also getting tired of being told that we live in Obama's World, not our own.
