Steve Driehaus, extreme spender
Doug Ross really does not like Rep. Steve Driehaus, so much so that he is calling in favors to spread the word. Done. And, well, he certainly does appear to be another Democrat who ran as a fiscal conservative and votes as a fiscal derelict. A "lite" version of our president, I would say.
It is a shame that the Republicans made it so easy for Democrats to do that.

I chimed in with a little note to my first term Dem (in a solidly McCain District) Congressman, Frank Kratovill.
Told him, "call it green jobs or whatever you like. It is a tax on productive Americans and it (cap and trade) will hit lower income Americans harder than most."
As a result of Waxman-Markey 5 million jobs will be destroyed or not created in the next 3 years.
See anyone can play that game.

I live in Cincinnati's 1st District.
Last election, our perennially conservative representative was defeated due to the district becoming more and more Democrat.
The burbs still vote overwhelmingly Republican, in fact Green Township voted almost 80% for Steve Chabot.
Unfortunately, the urban parts of the district vote almost 100% Democrat.
We can't win with a socially conservative candidate anymore, yet if a Republican would run as a RINO, it would be a waste because Democrats don't vote Republican.
Unfortunately Driehaus, who I went to Elder High School with, decided to saddle his constituents with a massive tax increase.
If I can be so crass, here is what I wrote about his vote: http://thevirtuousrepublic.com/?p=3848
