Survival gear: An Amazon list

Roaming around Amazon unescorted last night, I stumbled upon a list of basic survival equipment and materials. It is, at the least, enlightening.

Go for the Mr. T meets Macgiver meets Joe Six-pack ... starting with bubblegum/string, water purification device of a high end, decent calibre ACP, compass, knife.

kinda too late on the decent calibre ACP. tried to find any lately?

You not only want the decent caliber ACP (X > .40) you want to buy it from a private party, preferably one who later can remember only selling it, but by reason of unfortunate drunken aphasia, cannot remember to whom.
