Poor Barack Obama

Poor Barack Obama. Not only does Barack Obama smell, but he has only four years to save the world. We should consider ourselves fortunate that the amount of time we have left to act corresponds exactly with the duration of an American presidential term.

America did lead during the Bush administration. Not with carbon taxes, but with actual slowing of carbon emissions, while the rest of the world including Europe, Canada (Kyoto signatories), but especially China and India made a mockery of any attempt to control carbon emissions.

Hansen is pretty much a Chicken Little about all of this. I wonder if he bicycles to work every day.

Hugo Chavez sure has a thing for smells.

Pervert.

Just FYI, PETA activists have been combing Washington hunting down fur-wearers with fire extinguishers (which apparently cause less damage than red paint). Story is coming out in Washington Post tomorrow. Basically the unseasonable cold combined with bigshots, celebrities, dignitaries and tools from LA or Atlanta who never get to wear them have created a perfect storm of mink, fox and sable on the streets of the District of Columbia. Perfect hunting ground for PETA. We witnessed such an event outside of the University Club (Inaugural event where Barack and Michelle's Con Law prof Charles Ogletree spoke). Luckily I think it was only Harvard people who got frosted.

Were said Harvard folks above laying down some anti-hippy ass kicking?

Here I thought the stench was Speaker Pelosi's cologne.

Forget 4 years to save the world, we have two years to save the US from the borrow and spend democratic congress.

If you are from the upper middle west, global warming is not a problem, it's a solution.

Finally, we should authorize NRA memebers to make a preemptive strike those PETA types with paint ball guns.

I wonder if PETA would react favorable to a "If you don't like fur, don't wear it" campaign. I would have some respect for them if they would publicly admit that intimidation is not good public policy.

Chavez is right. Even Michelle says that Obama is 'stinky and snore-y.'

I remember back in the 80s when Hanson first started with the Global Warming, New York was supposed to be under water by the year 2000, I waited, and waited, and hoped, and New York is still there. :(

I think of the cost of the Iraq War, and want to laugh loud, bitter guffaws from the lowest point in my gut.

Acc. to that site, which I don't really trust, $589 bill. for military operations from Autumn 2002 until now.

Proposed deficit spending by the new Democratic government would be well above that amount, in one single year, pushing the national deficit above $2 trillion.

Laugh it up, trekkie.

By Blogger atheist, at Mon Jan 19, 09:32:00 PM:

The $589 Billion is just the part that the Bush administration admits to. Think about that. In reality, when you factor in all the weapons systems, the bribes to locals, the soldier's pay, the energy cost, the cost of hospitalizing the more than 100,000wounded US soldiers, and all the other incidental costs of war, it's more like $2 Trillion. That's vastly more than Obama will ever spend, and you know it.

@atheist

We won the war and decimated Al Queda. All with little help from your ilk.

We will not win the economic disaster - created by Democrats trying to enforce the concept of "housing for the irresponsible" - unless Mr. Obama comes out of his spending coma and cuts taxes.

My point, hypocrite, is that when you cheered on the invasion of Iraq, you showed clearly that you don't give a rats ass about fiscal conservatism, the economy, or responsibility. Your attempt to attack Obama for spending won't fly and you know it.
