The Twelve Days of Global Warming

At the risk of "politicizing" science -- and with only 26 days left in the Bush administration, who better than me to carry on the tradition? -- we proudly present "The Twelve Days of Global Warming" from the dangerous subversive conspiracy, "Minnesotans for Global Warming":

Of course, the science in this video is extremely suspect and should on no account guide public policy. There are, actually, only five oceans.

As we chuckle about this video, 59% of the US and the entire Canadian subcontinent is covered with snow...and event not seen in decades.

...and Mr. J. Hansen, of C02 hysteria, coal-will-kill-us-all fame, funded by George Soros...is now Mr. Obama's science advisor.

I'm sure we will see the expected increase in offshore drilling and coal devlopment.

Hell, after a few years, we won't need the fuel for our cars as much as for our FURNACES!

Ignorance is truly Strength here in Oceania.

I use to call him Ozone man because of his his screwy ideas but since I wish many times over I had voted for him instead of the current president - who soon go on long vacation. I take Glodal warming very serious - since I live in SE Asia. As a good example my wife's parents home has ocean waves lapping at their back door. When she was growing the shore line was 400-500 away from their home, so that tells me something. I lived here 6 years and each year the weather becomes hotter then previous year. Typhoons seem to be here more bringing death and destruction.

Chuckchuck, we have the same receding shoreline problem here in Virginia along our eastern coast. We've been battling it for years. It's called EROSION!

If I were you, I would purchase a warm winter coat before springing for a snorkel.

JPMcT... When had our home built here I had about 15 ft. limestone backfill place first and then had the house designed with 3 feet of reinforced concrete footing above the compacted backfill. In fact the whole house is built to within flooding and high winds (I hope)Serveral years ago my wife's parent's house was wiped out and washed out to sea when a typhoon hit Danao City. In fact my wife refuses to live next to sea!

chuckchuck, I couldn't agree with you more. It's much better to have friends with water-front property than to own it yourself.

Very similar to being a grandparent!

JPMcT, I had a beach front lot on Camotes Island which about 20 km east from here. The first thing I had done was place rip-rap on the shore line.
