Wonkery: Comparing tax proposals
The Tax Foundation has a useful side-by-side comparison (pdf) of the competing tax proposals. Or, if you do not believe our esteemed major party candidates, maybe not so much.
Anyway, there are things that are stupid in both proposals, but this much I do know: If Barack Obama wins tomorrow, find a way to earn all the wages and other employment compensation you are ever going to need by 2018. After that, the incentive to earn a big salary and bonus pretty much disappears.

TH - The 2018 date having to do with the phase in of the additional 4% Social Security tax on wages over $250,000?
That is a pretty good sized hickey, but does it completely eliminate "the incentive to earn a big salary and bonus?" I mean, you get to keep some of it, don't you, even if it is less than half (after considering all state and local taxes)?
