Oil: I lost
Regular readers know that around Thanksgiving I bet my brother Charlottesvillain -- stakes undetermined -- that oil would again see $60/bbl before it hit $140. I lost.
So you can help: What did he win?

Agreed. A tank of gas for the winner. But reimbursed by you at what the gas price would be were oil at $60/barrel. Otherwise you bet lots more than he did.

Oh come on, we can do better than this! This was a long shot bet. Oil was like $95 at Thanksgiving.
, atI always think that victory tastes better with a nice case of Chimay Grand Reserve.

I think you should buy his gas until it gets back to $60.
That is the kind of punishment us fixed-incomers are taking.

Larry, that last suggestion would take away his incentive to conserve. Can't have that.

I'll speak to him, you speak to the folks setting my tax-rates, grocery bills, and mortgage payment.
I guess the good news is we have enough that we can get a statement that says we lost $17,000 last quarter.
Too bad we can't sell this place for more than we owe on it.
I'd hold out for a bottle of 18 year Macallan and box of Cuban stogies. You could enjoy with him, although he'd arguably enjoy more knowing you bested you.

A fishing trip, or other such outing two brothers might enjoy. You buy the gas.
