Ferentz to....Michigan?
Rumors are flying today that Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz has been offered the job at the University of Michigan, where he is considered a candidate to replace the retiring Lloyd Carr. However, according to Hawk Central, the Iowa Athletic Department denies giving any of the parties permission to discuss a Ferentz move, which is apparently a provision in his contract.
So who knows.

Ferentz is way overrated. The Hawkeyes would be better off with a guy like Francione.

I think Ferentz is a great coach. Ken O'Keefe, not so much. Ferentz's two big problems in my book - he's not a great recruiter (Iowa's great recruiting happened either when Bret Bielema was in charge of recruiting or after Iowa had several great seasons in a row) and he's too loyal to a non-innovative offensive coordinator.
