Friday timewaster
Here's a game that will make you twitchy for half the morning. My high "score" was 19.412 seconds in a few minutes of playing.
CWCID: Theo.

I was just thinking about you, Maggie's Farm, and the few other American sites I know of that occasionally link to Theo Sparks.
It strikes me that you might have a small ethical problem.
Remember Switzerland? Pretty cool country, huh? Neutral in times of war, great skiing, fresh alpine air, delicious chocolate, men in laderhosen yodelling at the top of their lungs.
Heidi.
Yep, if countries could be "cool", ol' Switzerland would be right near the top of the list.
Maybe.
Switerland is now considering a law where the entire family would be deported if any member of the family committed a crime.
Yes, you read that right.
These would be violent crimes, drug crimes, and, horror of all heinous horrors, benefits fraud.
Theo Sparks is in favor of this.
"Swiss Expulsion Proposal Draws Criticism....not from me it doesn't." - headline from his site
So, too, are his British commenters. In fact, they're a little sad because, should Britain consider such a law, people will haul out the ol' racism card and skew the argument against its passage.
One commenter tried his damnedest to liken it to an American law:
"A variation of this is used in some public housing projects in the US. If someone commits a crime, the entire household is evicted. It has worked well when the courts have allowed it."
Well, uh, yeah -- If you're accepting public housing, then you actually have to (gasp!) follow the law. What this brain-dead commenter failed to realize is that there's a small difference between being asked to move down the block -- and being told to leave the WHOLE FRIGGIN' COUNTRY.
Now here's the problem. It's one of 'endorsement'.
If you link to a DailyKos article, no one thinks you're "endorsing" DailyKos. If you link to a liberal MSM article, no one thinks you're suddenly endorsing MSNBC.
But if you link to a right-wing site, especially a 'fun' site like Theo's, what you're saying is, "This is one of the good guys. He's cool. He's one of the gang."
You can claim that you're not really "endorsing" him, but that's not how people will see it. They'll see some rabid liberal-bashing, some hot totties, and think that you think it's a really cool site. It's one of the gang.
And you know where this is going, right?
"Say, TH, I noticed you linked to that Theo guy's site. Isn't he the one advocating full family deportation for the smallest crime? Is that what YOU think, TH?"
"Say, did you hear about TigerHawk? Yeah, I was reading through some of his comments and it appears he and some guy named Theo Sparks are advocating their congressmen to propose a bill where anyone in America who commits a crime should be deported, along with their entire family!"
"No!"
"Yeah, it was right there in black & white! I first read where Theo was pushing it in Britain, and you know how Tiger likes Theo's site, so we have to presume they think alike!"
Heh.
And you know what the really sobering thing about all this is? You know how Theo's always going on about how one British government official or another should be "shot", "assassinated", "offed", and all the rest?
I always figured he was embellishing his arguments with strong words just for effect.
Now, I'm not so sure. It strikes me that anyone so cold and heartless as to advocate this law wouldn't hesitate for a minute to pull the trigger on someone he thoroughly hated.
Anyways, there it is. I don't suggest you stop linking to him (the guy, after all, does have superb taste in scantily-clad women), just be aware that there's a certain element of danger that now goes along with it. Anyone who would advocate such a law has no true concept of what the word "freedom" really means. The way his British commenters jumped on the bandwagon was even more sobering.
You guys want to appreciate being Americans?
There it is.
Hmm, the motion of the blue blocks is always the same, so it's just a matter of playing enough to find a path and then sticking to it. To get past the first 10 or so seconds, for instance, you go immediately down at the beginning and then up to the upper left corner as quickly as possible. You can hang out there until the big square block makes a beeline for you, at which point you go quickly straight down (carefully, to avoid the approaching wide rectangle). The you go diagonally up and to the right through the hole between the two rectangular blocks after they cross. That gets about 15 seconds with no problem, I think.

You posted this too early for me to get motivated to play, and now it's the evening and I'm too weary to play! Will try Sat. a.m. and try to beat your score...
