"Girlish glee"

This is cruel and unfair and I'm a bad person for linking to it.

Edwards couldn't win even if he had Willie Sutton as a campaign manager.

lol ... what a sad commentary on our entire process for electing our highest levels of government.

This guy makes me laugh and vomit at the same time.

By Blogger Christopher Chambers, at Thu Aug 02, 09:57:00 AM:

I suppose this must be sarcasm because the average right wing prick (and I'm not saying TH is) never apologizes or hedges for being cruel and unfair. LOL

But to show you we can be just as mean and unfair, I'm reprinting this:

"Hmm...several months ago the VP said money spent in Iraq was more important than 'special interest pork' projects at home. Tucker Carlson told us that we had the "best infrastructure" of any "civilized nation." Yesterday I drove on the American Legion here on the Capital Beltway and saw engineers making all kinds of studies and measurements. Oh God forbid it falls into the Potomac. Quell embarassment. And forget mass transit, hydrogen cars, mag-lev, true urban planning. That's for commies and faggot grad students and sci fi authors.

Well, a reminder of reality fell into the Mississippi River tonight during rush hour. Perhaps instead of lining Betchel's pockets along with countless other contractors in Baghdad, Doha, Bahrain et al...can we get some help on Main Street. Or I-35? Huh Mr. President? Let that liberal turncost Bloomberg fix his own steam pipes, but even in "screw mass transit" Crawford there's gotta be some bridges whut need fixin'. Of course, no one's going to tap any entity or person who's contributed to the mindset that created this decay. No, regular folks will be hit with fees, taxes, tolls.

P.S. One more hen's scratching at the coop. Millions of Fisher-Price/Mattel toys for babies, laden with LEAD recalled. Where are they made? Why, the communist ATM machine for thousands of American CEOs with stock options, private equity and hedge fund captains, dickheads hoping to break unions--China. More human rights violations than Hugo Chavez. More pollution than Eastern Europe. But hey, moneys to be made and that means the GOP, big business and even the neo-cons love the place. Maybe John Roberts was sucking on a Big Bird Fisher Price crib mobile over the weekend. Maybe it will wake HIS ass up. Unlikely, but keep sucking anyway, Mr. Chief 'Justice.' Hand some toys out in the White House if you get a chance..."

By the way--sure, John Edwards is a lightweight. You only deride him because he's not one of YOUR lightwieghts. And isn't that the rub? It's not about right and wrong. Or nonsense like "Good or evil." It's about power. Who rules. Wy can't nun-a-yoze just admit that so we can all go have a beer?

One word Christopher - Thorazine.

GWB might be responsible for a number of screw-ups, but I don't think you can put the I-35 disaster at his feet, unless you have specific evidence that his administration held up federal funds that were budgeted for Minnesota road work.

Furthermore, federal monies spend maintaining the Interstate system are generally not considered to be part of "mass transit" spending, are they? The point of that type of government spending is to get people out of their cars and into vehicles that carry lots of people in an energy efficient environmentally responsible fashion (possibly involving a tradeoff with individual convenience).

I have to say that making fun of the health problems of a sitting Supreme is pretty cutting, but Linda Greenhouse's article about how Roberts's "aura of invincibility" was lost was funnier (though one suspects, not intentionally so).

Isn't it just amazing that Chris C his the exact same talking points at this diary over at Kos Land

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Aug 02, 02:07:00 PM:

" Perhaps instead of lining Betchel's pockets along "......One would think that after decades of democrat majorities in congress, during which most of the interstate sytem was built, that they could find funding to adequately maintain said system. In between episodes of raping the public trough to line their own pockets. Asshat !

Mr. Chambers, as one who lives moments away from the 35W bridge and thanks God she decided against traveling it last night, please give it a rest for a little bit longer. When we figure out what the hell caused this terrible event, we might have a better idea of who deserves the blame. In the meantime, I have a sneaking suspicion the list may include many more names than "G.W. Bush."

Funny thing is...many of the large institutional shareholders in Christopher's "evil corporations" are things like union retirement funds.

CT apparently hates retired school teachers.

"so we can all go have a beer."
