Freaky tiger picture of the day

Official caption:
Ashrita Furman of the U.S. holds a tiger on a leash, at the start of a world record attempt, while skipping at the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi province, 120km (75 miles) north-west of Bangkok, February 4, 2007. Already holder of many Guinness World Records Furman attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest time skipping (like children skip, without a jump rope) 5km (3 miles) on Sunday, having to complete the 5km in less than 40 minutes. To make the attempt more interesting, Furman skipped the first 100m and 75m of the last 100m holding the tiger. He finished the attempt in 35 minutes and 19 seconds and is awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records.

That's some skippy skipping. The tiger, however, looks a) not at all winded, and b) decidedly unimpressed.

The tiger also seems pretty tolerant of human silliness...perhaps it would be interested in accompanying me to Reunions some time? :)

I would never trust a man-eating variety of wild animal, no matter how tame he appears, remember this?

That's twice today that a post has brought to mind a facially-scarred Dan Akroyd on SNL hawking his book "Don't Feed The Bears Marshmallows With Your Teeth."
