Eliot Spitzer takes power
Eliot Spitzer ended 12 years of Republican rule here on Monday with a blunt critique of the past and a call to “end the politics of cynicism and division in our state.” (Link)
I'm sure there are a lot of people, including especially financial services executives whom Eliot Spitzer was able to charge but not able to convict, who would argue that Governor Spitzer is unlikely to end the politics of cynicism. But then again, only Nixon could go to China.
