Comet blogging: McNaught in the southern sky
Here's the most dramatic picture (from Chile) in the Yahoo slideshow of Comet McNaught, which has been particularly bright in the southern hemisphere:
The comet, named after Australian astronomer Robert McNaught who discovered it last year, is 124 million kilometres from Earth and is the brightest comet in 40 years, sparking mistaken calls to fire and police authorities around New Zealand that something was falling from the sky. Picture taken January 18, 2007.
Cool.

Could this be the UFO that keeps appearing in Iran?
Or is it even visible there.

What could this mean another comet remember HALE BOP? could this be another sign of ARMAGEDON?

No, I think it is just a reminder of how beautiful and majestic is the Universe, and how we aren't quite as omnipotent a species of hairless apes as we think we are; just enough brainpower to be conscious observers of a greater Creation than we can fully understand.
I remember how majestic and beautiful Hale-Bopp was, and unfortunately, I live too far north to see this comet until after it passes perihelion.
We shouldn't be looking for signs of apocalyptic armadeggon; it might not be all it's cracked up to be.
