Family vacation notes: Hiking at Blue Mountain Lake

It was a beautiful day in the Adirondacks yesterday, so we and some cousins drove down to Blue Mountain Lake and hiked up to "Castle Rock," a rocky dome a few hundred feet above the lake.

The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain is one of my favorite sports in the park ---for a rainy day. I see you didn't have that problem! Great view! Look s like the kids enjoyed it, too.

joated, agreed on the Adirondack Museum. You should also check out the new "Wild Center" in Tupper Lake. It is the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, and in that regard is the pefect complement to the Adirondack Museum.
