On "Thumbs" Zarqawi and the importance of ridicule
As all newshounds know, CENTCOM released the "out takes" from Abu Masab al-Zarqawi's latest propaganda tape yesterday. Apparently the uncut version was found on a raid on a house near Baghdad.
Anyway, the CENTCOM video tells us that the Zarkman doesn't know how to clear a jammed machine gun, and in case the press corps missed that he is a freakish clown, even if a brutal one, CENTCOM held a briefing to make it clear.
But as the previously unseen video was shown, [Maj. Gen.] Lynch mocked al-Zarqawi, suggesting his weapon jammed and he was unable to fix it.
"It's supposed to be automatic fire, he's shooting single shots. Something is wrong with his machine gun, he looks down, can't figure out, calls his friend to come unblock the stoppage and get the weapon firing again," Lynch said.
"This piece you all see as he walks away, he's wearing his black uniform and his New Balance tennis shoes as he moves to this white pickup. And, his close associates around him ... do things like grab the hot barrel of the machine gun and burn themselves," the military spokesman added.
Good. It is high time that we started mocking these bastards. "Thumbs" Zarqawi may have a well-developed theatrical sense and be good at sneaking around, but in the end he is a clown. Up until now, our enemies have mocked us and we act all serious about their high crimes. Enough of that. The jihadis are freakishly weird even in the eyes of most Muslims. Where is the "Spike Jones" of this war who will laugh in "De Zarkman's Face"? The sooner we start taking these murdering, preening, sanctimonious dirtbags down a few pegs the better. Apart from whipping his butt on the battlefield and maybe giving him the Mother of all Wedgies when we catch him (a practice that I strongly advocate -- if it can humiliate an 8th grader it would certainly have worked on Saddam -- but which I am sure would trigger rage in the European press), nothing will discredit the jihad faster than ridicule.

This makes it plain why, when these lunatic idiots elect to take on our troops, we annihilate them every time. When they saw the head off a bound, gagged civilian innocent, of course they seem very effective. But put them in front of an armed, trained American soldier, they don't perform too well.
With these morons, the best defense is definitely an excellent offense, so let's keep at it -- in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and anywhere else they are willing to fight and die against our military.

What an idiot. He's lucky he didn't accidently shoot a jihadi in the face. I hear he surrounds himself with good people though.
