Iowa wins the Big Ten Tournament

Link.

The Hawkeyes were behind almost all of the first thirty minutes, but didn't let the Buckeyes pull away. In the end they closed, and won the Big Ten Tournament for the second time in six years.

Who's got next? We'll know in a couple of hours.

UPDATE: Iowa is a #3 seed, meeting Northwestern St. in the first round in Auburn Hills, Michigan. If they win, they will take on the winner of West Virginia - Southern Illinois.

Sam,
I hope we have a chance for another shot at Texas. The game in November was competitive, and the Hawkeyes have much improved on interior defense, a problem for them in that game.

But with this team, I've learned to take them one game at a time. These Hawks, who have beaten Kentucky, NC State, Illinois, Michigan State twice, Ohio State twice, Indiana twice, have also lost to Michigan State by 30, and lost games to Northwestern and Minnesota. I think they are capable of making a run, perhaps as far as the final 8, but could also screw the pooch in round 1. (Most predictions I've read have them going out in round 2 to 6 seed West Virginia.)
