German and Arab Allegiance, A Brief History
Tigerhawk posted on German funding of Al Qaeda initiatives, referring to it as ransom. Whatever. There's a long and sordid history here folks, and I recommend you just keep scrolling. The photos of the Grand Mufti and his friend Adolf are especially revealing and poignant.
Update: I found another interesting WWII narrative that gives you some more flavor for old friendships and enmity. For many, this history is simply unknown, and it can't hurt to have it.
