Actually, hanging is too humane. Tom Maguire eviscerated Jay Rockefeller yesterday. Rockefeller is surely one of the clumsiest of the Cold Feet Democrats. Read it all. And while we're on the subject, may I offer a friendly reminder that Ted Kennedy sold them all down the river last week?
Via Glenn.
Forget hanging! They should be water-boarded!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, "hanging is too humane"? Who says that?
Last week you had an inspired post about the ethics of protest, this week it's not only demogoguery, but violent demogoguery.
Oh, Lanky, I'm just goofing. However, I do believe that these guys who are changing their story to attack Bush are not fitting within my definition of ethical protest, as discussed in that previous post.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I will feel terrible if somebody actually hangs Ted Kennedy.
Stealing from Taranto, "Mary Jane Kopechne could not be reached for comment."
ReplyDeleteShameful. Your pennance is I shall quote Yoda to you: "Anger... fear... aggression. The dark side of the Force are they... If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny."
ReplyDeleteThe problem with pathos-laden vitriolic hyperbole is it destroys rational discourse. Bill O'Reilly does that on purpose, but I've read enough of your posts to tell you that you argue best from logos or ethos. Anyway, it's your blog to use as you like. As a reader and a fan, I'd just encourage you to keep it rational.
lanky_bastard, to quote from the greatest movie ever made,

Hawk,
ReplyDeleteI'd like to point you to two posts:

Quote the Dems silliness until the cows come home, but Bush still needs to answer for the dishonesty he perpetrated in the runup to the invasion.
