Tripp, Felt treatment a contrast
The former attorney for Clinton scandal whistleblower Linda R. Tripp -- who, like "Deep Throat," exposed White House misdeeds -- said his client's harsh public treatment stands in stark contrast to the veneration of W. Mark Felt, whose aid to the press helped bring down President Nixon.

CNN reports that Clinton says Felt "did the right thing." There is no indication that Larry King, the crack journalist breaking this story, asked Clinton whether he thought that Linda Tripp did the right thing, although it would have been amusing if he had.
