Lone Star blowback

Yesterday morning, Instapundit rounded up the latest news on indictments in the oil-for-food scandal, which for the first time include an American company. One of Glenn's readers emailed this observation:
Now that the MSM can write about an TEXAS based OIL company owned by an AMERICAN, it will be saturation bombing time for them. I work for an MSM company, and I can see the froth beginning to churn.

The New York Times does not disappoint. Its front page this morning includes this headline: "Texan is indicated in Iraq oil sales by Hussein aides." But wait, that's not all. When you go to the jump page, there's a "profile" story with more: "Low-profile Texas oilman draws spotlight for Iraqi deals." In case you missed that he was from Texas the first time.

You can't say The New York Times isn't predictable.

UPDATE: Great minds think alike, almost simultaneously.
