Haunting Sarah Palin

Levi Johnston surely belongs in the pantheon of all-time ill-mannered loutish teenagers.

He needs a good old fashioned ass whippin', and a heads up that his 15 minutes are over.

Okay, so he is a lout AND a moron. But at least he is more informed than Peggy Noonan.

Because the only person the AP could find to comment on this was the shiftless bum who once knocked up her daughter. Instead of like talking to an aide. Or an advisor. Or her minister. Or even Sarah.

This is really sad. However it does show that Bristol at least had enough sense enough not to marry him.

But not enough sense not to sleep with him, or use protection.

A cautionary tale for any parent who thinks abstinence is the answer. Birth control, people. By virtue of being the father, Levi will be the thorn in the side of the Palin family forever. Fitting. He is no worse than the family who trashed him in public and denied him access to his child.

Levi Johnson is proof positive that girls/women prefer jerks. The bigger the better.

"denied him access to his child."

I would love to hear more about this...

By Blogger Foxfier, at Sat Jul 11, 12:18:00 AM:

*cough* Abstinence *is* the answer-- when applied, it's 100% effective. I know several folks who have children conceived while on birth control-- one of them a trained midwife who "did everything right."

Human failure doesn't mean that a tactic fails--may as well say that seatbelts don't work, because folks in wrecks that didn't use them get hurt!

This Levi kid and Bristol's situation go back to one root cause: teenagers can make REALLY bad choices with amazing consistency....

(Kind of makes me wonder if Levi reads the sort of "men's" magazines that have long articles explaining how to manipulate your girlfriend into putting out.)

Gawd, what long-ago generation are you from? Pppfffttt. Next you'll be claiming they only had sex once! Please let's not make Bristol a "victim" of her own actions, too.

BTW, I "assume" Levi manipulated Bristol to pose in her high school cap and gown with baby in hand for the cover of People Magazine. Great role model, huh?

He's a punk and a douchebag, but is he wrong?

By Anonymous vicki pasadena ca, at Sat Jul 11, 10:53:00 AM:

Therein lies the question, Wahoo? Is he wrong? Hmmmm, cogitate on that, righties.

Anon-
What, you haven't read Maxim in the last five years? That's one of their perennial faves.
Don't have to be a "victim" to be stupid, or to misplace your trust.

Don't forget the flip side to Maxim ... Cosmo. A few actual cover stories:

"Inside his dirty mind"

"Just do this on date #1 and he's yours"

"What guys crave after sex"
- Real answer ... Silence ... credit Ralphie May

Link, over

...You do realize that Cosmo is read by a LOT of guys, right?

"Hmmmm, cogitate on that, righties."

Ah, counter-productive ideological caricatures from yet another source! If only I could feast on pain and confusion, like Dick Cheney...

It's amusing. I recall saying much the same thing to 'lefties' for most of the last 5 or so years (many times on this blog) concerning things like Guantanamo Bay and detention of captured HVTs, and NSA surveillance, and the chances of the surge in Iraq.

'Isn't it possible that Bush is right about this?'

I'm sure you can imagine the response. Lots of screaming about fascism. Here's a choice example.

It turns out that those things were right, at least according to President Obama who has continued all of the aforementioned policies and even extended them into a new 'Afghan Surge!'

Funny thing is that I don't remember much 'leftist cogitation' back then.

Oh well. I guess the circle of life is now complete.

He lived with them for five weeks. He has a movie and book plans himself. vicki, would you take this person's evaluation at face value on any other topic you can name, or just this one?

BTW, I think you were trying to make some comment about "abstinence-only" sex-ed, but you ended up saying something else. I think I see the point you are going for, but it doesn't apply to Palin. Check out what she has actually said she has discussed with her children.
