Cool stuff 


Behold, a map of the United States showing snow cover by "snow water equivalent" (basically depth), animated to reflect changes every hour for the last two weeks. As I said, cool.

That really was amazing, and I will send the link along to the grandchildren. It doesn't, however, show the ice rink that I used to call the upper part of my driveway here in Western Connecticut. I have been online non-stop today and have a baaad case of cabin fever! Thanks for the entertainment.

I know you can appreciate how the weather can enhance the Adirondacks.

Jump up a level, scooch NE, and you get the "Regional Snow Analyses: Northeast". Too cool.
